College Goals

Drafted by the College Advisory Council in 2007.

Goal #1 – One College, One Community

  • Fostering positive college and community relationships
  • Openly communicate on all levels to promote collaboration and shared leadership

Goal #2 – Designing Futures

  • Align instructional programs with current and projected social, economic, academic, and professional expectations

Goal #3 – Inviting Success

  • Use support programs and services that result in the career and educational advancement of college students and employees

Goal #4 – Staying Connected & Contemporary

  • Position the college as a regional leader in technology, entrepreneurship, sustainable development, as well as creativity and design

  • Develop and responsibly use resources

General Competencies

Teamwork: The graduate is able to work with others to:

a. analyze a situation;
b. establish priorities;
c. apply resources for solving a problem; and
d. accomplish established mission, goals, and objectives.

Responsibility: The graduate is able to employ individual behaviors to:

a. work within established guidelines to support mission, goals, and objectives; and
b. accomplish designated tasks within identified deadlines.

Communication: The graduate is able to appropriately exchange ideas and information in:

a. oral,
b. written, and
c. visual formats.

Problem Solving: The graduate is able to identify problems and potential causes to:

a. develop solutions and
b. implement action plans.

Information Processing: The graduate is able to use current technologies to:

a. acquire,
