Applicants to associate and diploma programs are required to:
Submit a completed degree-seeking Application for Admission form to the Enrollment Management Office. You may use either the on-line application or a printable application.
- Have an official high school transcript or a copy of GED scores mailed to the Enrollment Management Office. Note: Current high school seniors should have their school submit a transcript showing work through the first semester of the senior year. The transcript should be submitted as soon as possible after the semester has ended and a supplementary transcript submitted upon high school graduation. For Correspondence Schools recognized by HCC click here and here. - Complete the Haywood Community College placement test requirement. This requirement must be completed in one of the following ways:
- Take the ACCUPLACER exam administered by the College. The ACCUPLACER exam is a Computerized Placement Test (CPT).
- Reflect scores of 500 or higher on each section (verbal and math) of the SAT.
- Reflect a composite score of 21 or higher on the ACT.
- Submit official transcripts reflecting successful completion of college-level English and mathematics/algebra credits with a “C” or better.
