HCC Celebrates Opening of the Regional Center for the Advancement of Children
Haywood Community College celebrated the opening of the new Regional Center for the Advancement of Children with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony on August 7. Members of the community, the college campus, area legislative representatives, and current children enrolled in the center helped commemorate this event. The center is a state-of-the-art facility that can serve up to 140 children from the age of six weeks old to five years old. It is the result of a collaborative effort between the county, private donors, statewide foundation, and state funding.
