HCC to Hold Mountain Echoes Jammin' at the Mill Pond Celebration
Haywood Community College will hold a free Mountain Echoes Jammin’ at the Mill Pond Celebration on Tuesday, August 5. The bluegrass jammin’ session will be held on the main campus from 5 until 8 p.m. The College is hosting the event as a thank you to the community for passing the 1/4 cent sales tax. Board, foundation, college, and county officials will be on hand to express their gratitude.
Local performers are welcome to bring their instruments for Open Mic from 5 until 6 p.m. The Hominy Valley Boys will perform at 6 p.m. Local dance team, the Rough Creek Cloggers will also be performing. All area musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments to jam around the Mill Pond. Participants should bring their lawn chairs and blankets. Hot dogs, barbeque, chips, cookies, drinks, and t-shirts will be available for purchase. For more information on this event, please call 627-4580 or 564-5106.
